People are already defaulting on their credit card debt, auto repossessions are getting so bad there are repo companies backed up for months with too much business. Mortgages are going into default at ever increasing rates . . . I don't think many people could stand a double on the electric bill.
Yet we are still buying bomber jets at almost a billion a plane. The money has to come from somewhere and after a double on homeowners insurance the people don't have that money. It will be facinating watching this play out. Facinating, but not pretty . . .
Payroll taxes run this country, a billion for a bomber, and nothing left for the bridges. An enemy wouldn't even need to bomb us, the people running this country will do it for them!
It's definitely going to be interesting seeing these facist morons try to stabalize as everything crumbles around them...seeing from the rubble that is 😂
The low EROI of renewables and the increasing energy cannibalism of fossil fuels (exasperated by worldwide peak unconventional oil production in Nov 2018) are starting to rear their ugly heads.
The energy cliff is coming. The millennial dark age will begin shortly thereafter.
Why “millennial”? Because it’s occurring in the 2000s, and because “millennials ruin everything” so blaming them for a dark age feels pretty apt.
Where we will be at the other end of this dark age - as a society, culturally, locally, nationally, globally - is impossible to say.
Chances for extinction, while very unlikely, are not zero. But I can say with confidence that the world will be a very different place on the other side of this upcoming dark age.
I just had a random thought (I laughed at myself and said this is how crazy theories are born) about the way the world is falling apart, and how moderate science is starting to loose the narrative. I wondered if some of these accidents that have happened of late are orchestrated. I caught something about the bridge collapse from Baltimore the area. Not that that specifically was, just that is what triggered the thought. I followed that with a headline I saw - probably midway through the Olympics - about how climate change is making it harder on the athletes, and how long can the games go on safely under this threat. You know the blah, blah, blah type piece.
Really I guess this is more about how I see the normalization of it all. Trying to get a sense for the sliding scale of shit headed our planet's way, by seeing what the story that follows reality says.
It is MOSTLY orchestrated. There is a power behind throne no matter who sits on it. We are about to see more and more "accidents" and freak coincidences as we are corralled like a herd of cattle.
I'm not "THE" Richard, but I think I can answer your question. We won't even know what year it is by then. If we are still alive, we will be chucking spears at each other and huddling around trash barrel fires.
Hard times are "a coming" globally. I don't see any way to avoid that now.
We waited to long to do this cleanly. Now, billions are going to die prematurely.
They certainly are, you can see it coming in the rhetoric, feels like we're on the cusp of some bad shit. The chocolate bars was the first domino.

hey Richard , what is 2030 going to be like?

Thank you Richard.
