I find it hard to believe that they don't know what's coming. Their models are purposely designed to come in understated by like 40%. They're playing the fool, because the alternative is recognizing that they didn't do anywhere near enough to address the issue for the last 50 years.
Exactly. It seems damn near criminally negligent to not consider the impact of aerosol forcing from the removal of sulfates from the atmosphere or the massive amount of inland Greenland ice melt in models, for example. Both of which have been routinely excluded.
It's criminal. Assuming we had access to inter organization correspondence, we would see that their efforts fall into Intentional Tort. The granting process is essentially a way to filter for the outcome you want. If the research organization isn't giving you the 'science' you want, you find another recipient that will tow the line.
Thank you Richard...Your summation "he doesn't have a f@#*!ing clue" made me laugh...Not doing a lot of that lately...All the best to you and thank you for keeping us informed...
In recent Crisis Reports Richard talks about this. On 18 March, 2022, scientists at the Concordia research station on the east Antarctic plateau documented a remarkable event. They recorded the largest jump in temperature ever measured at a meteorological center on Earth. According to their instruments, the region that day experienced a rise of 38.5C above its seasonal average: a world record. This week Dr. Emma Gilbz, said on her YouTube channel that an Atmospheric River could do that. “Atmospheric Rivers are driving crazy climate extremes in Antarctica”: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FetkI1lkBG8. To explain it she called upon Dr. Jonathan Wille at ETH Zurich who has published a number of papers on Atmospheric Rivers in the Antarctic. Dr. Wille explained that a warming climate can hold more water and this is resulting in an increase in Atmospheric Rivers and records like the 38.5C temperature rise.
People have noticed your absence on the subreddit. You are missed. I hope you are as okay as you can be.
Thank you for everything Richard . You may remember me from reddit who goes by the username of "upbeat-data"

Always a great (well, chilling) read. Thank you.

thank you for posting
I broke down and created an account on substack just so I can get your updates. Thank you for what you do.
