Part of the reason that China and the world perceive the US as "weak" is that we are.
Whose side you are on, says exactly who you are.
There is no middle. Appealing to “the sensible middle” is why Biden continues to struggle.
Trump got more votes than any candidate in US history.
Except for Biden.
Consider who voted for Trump.
2 out 3 White Americans voted for Trump (42% of the voting pool)
1 out of 10 Black Americans voted for Trump (1% of the voting pool)
1 out of 3 Hispanic Americans voted for Trump (6% of the voting pool)
1 in 50 Asian, Pacific Islander, Indigenous Americans voted for Trump (effectively 0% of the voting pool).
That’s the 49% of the country that voted Trumpublican in 2020 AND IN 2022.
7 out of every 8 people who voted for Trump were WHITE.
Those White Americans, that 42% of the population, represents 139 million people. That’s the Trumpublican party, the “Trump Nation”. WHITE and not afraid to vote their racism.
The “sensible middle” Biden and the Democrats have been trying to hold onto. That would be the 6.5 million WHITE voters who voted for Trump in 2016 but then decided he was “too extreme” and voted for Biden in 2020.
That 2% of the electorate is the “sensible middle”. That’s it, that’s what passes for “the Center” at this point.
Trump and the Trumpublican Party represent White America.
If you are a WHITE Democrat you need to remind yourself of that fact when you wake up in the morning, and when you go to bed at night. It is the ESSENTIAL fact of American political life at this moment.
If you turn a blind eye to that, if you skip over that part of the story because you don’t like the implications of it. Then you aren’t being “fair and balanced” you are enabling the Trumpublicans.
They want to make America an Apartheid nation.
They want a nation where only White votes matter and White Republican men hold the majority of high offices. That’s what “Make America Great Again” means.
The MAJORITY of Republican candidates for office on the ballot for the House, Senate and key statewide offices (291 out of 569) in 2022 WERE ELECTION DENIERS.

Yes, SOME of them lost. Most of them didn't.
Here's what they were saying before the election last November.
That Joe Biden is an illegitimate President.
That we are in a state of Civil War.
That Democrats want to kill Republicans.
That Democrats are “pro-crime.”
“They want crime because they want to take over what you got. They want to control what you have. They want reparations because they think the people that do the crime are owed that. Bull****! They are not owed that.”
Something that Trumpublican Senator (Tuberville) said at a rally for the Trumpublican candidate for Nevada Secretary of State.
BTW: If you are not an American “the people that do the crime” means BLACK and BROWN people. In WHITE Trumpublican America, “the people that do the crime” are ALWAYS, Black and Brown people.
Any WHITE person who claims to be “Independent” and wants to talk to you about Republican IDEALS, or Republican MORAL convictions is a crypto-Trumpublican. It’s an appeal to talk about Republican ideas on taxation, crime, parental empowerment over woke school bureaucrats, and over-regulation.
Without talking about Republican racism.
A LOT of WHITE Democrats are uncomfortable talking about that. They would rather talk about Republican misogyny, and Republican fascism. Anything other than REPUBLICAN RACISM.
It’s uncomfortable for WHITE Democrats. If you don’t live in an urban area, odds are, most of your family is Trumpublican. Talking about Trumpublican racism makes your Trumpublican relatives think you’re a hater. It makes things awkward and ugly.
We are past that now.
Republicans are saying their party ‘will never lose another election’ if they win. They will fix the voting system to make sure of it.
There is no middle anymore. It’s time to take a side. Who do you stand with?
If you are an “Independent” WHITE voter who doesn’t want to admit publicly that you are leaning Trumpublican. I know you are going to say some crap like.
“I’m with the sensible middle who think both sides are equal and both sides have good and bad points.”
Really?
You really think the Democratic multiracial coalition is the same as the White Nationalist party that thinks it’s a good idea to sterilize Latina women in ICE detention centers before deporting them.
So that they “don’t keep coming back until they drop an anchor baby”.

The Democrats are a multiracial coalition party.
If you think the two sides are “equal” then you are not neutral. You are a WHITE Trumpublican who doesn’t want to admit it out loud.
Let’s Talk about Guns. Because WHITE America has a lot of them.
No meaningful gun safety laws are going to be passed until Democrats have a bigger majority. Trumpublican America aka WHITE America won’t let it happen.
The unspoken fact is that most of the guns are owned by a handful of people. People who have an agenda. People who feel threatened. WHITE MEN, mainly.
A 2015 survey by Harvard and Northeastern researchers, gave the most in-depth estimate of Americans’ current patterns of gun ownership. It found that America’s gun super-owners have amassed huge collections.
Just 3% of American adults own a collective 133 million firearms — half of America’s total gun stock. These owners have collections that range from eight to 140 guns, the 2015 study found. Their average collection: 17 guns each.
Super-owners were less diverse than gun owners overall. With super-owners most likely to be male, WHITE, and say they own guns for protection.
The most racist White men in America, the ones who feel the most threatened by minorities.
Have built up a huge stockpile of weapons for the “race war” they think is coming. They LARP being militia against “occupying Federal forces” in the Civil War they want to happen.
The Trumpublican Party needs their votes. That’s why gun control has not happened. That’s why the Trumpublican stacked Supreme Court is rolling back state gun safety laws. That’s why militia guys are suddenly everywhere. Trying to intimidate and harass urban voters.
Trying to intimidate and harass BLACK voters.
Only one side is doing this.
The Trumpublicans are whipping themselves up into a frenzy of rage over on FOX. Pledging to Impeach Biden and have him removed from office. Charged with treason for his “Election Crimes” in 2020 and hustled away to Gitmo.
So that Trump can return in his Radiant Glory and restore order to our troubled land. With an iron hand and a boot in the face of any troublemakers. So that Trump can “Make America Great Again”
I’m serious. I have a degree in Anthropology and my dissertation was on civil wars and revolutions. The kind of shit they are talking on FOX right now, is the stuff you hear just before a pogrom or a Rawanda style bloodbath.
WHITE America is getting really unhinged. The rest of us need to decide how we want to deal with it. Losing an election to them right now is a really bad idea, and it’s not clear what's going to happen in 24’.
The majority of Democratic voters are exhausted and scared. They don’t want a battle. They don’t want a war. They want things to go back to the way they were before Trump.
That’s why they chose Biden in the primaries.
That’s why they voted for him in the election.
That’s what they want.
They didn’t elect Biden to lead the Democratic 51% of the country to war with the Trumpublican 49%. They elected him to be a bland, boring, old white grandpa.
One who would say the comforting old stories about “all of us being Americans”. One who would calm White Trumpublicans down and get things working again. One who would get us back to normal and make everyone feel safe.
So that they can stop being so G-d dammed anxious about the future.
Biden was never going to be the President we wanted. Despite the hopes of his supporters, he wasn’t the President we needed either. He just believes too much in the decency of WHITE America.
He cannot bring himself to go to war with them.
He believes too strongly that he can win them over with appeals to shared American values. He wagered everything on the optimistic idea that he could still appeal to “reasonable Republicans” and build a bipartisan governing partnership.
He was wrong. Because there are no “reasonable Republicans”. He is getting ZERO support from the Republicans. They have no interest in governing the country with him. They are actively trying to cripple his administration and make things worse.
I think the signs are very bad. WHITE America, aka the Trumpublican’s, is going to try and seize power. Then suppress the hell out of those of us who don’t agree with them. This is their “LAST CHANCE” because the demographic and social tides have swung against them.
As the FOX NEWS Generation begins to die in big yearly numbers the percentage of the WHITE population will decline rapidly in the coming decades.
The BOOMERS were a MAJORITY WHITE Generation.
The Z’s are a MAJORITY MINORITY Generation.
In 2022 Women under 35 voted 72% DEMOCRATIC because of the SC decision striking down Roe. Voters under 40 who choose a party tend to stay with it for life.
By 2030 these two trends will combine and make it almost impossible for REPUBLICANS to win any honest elections.
Racial groups that face “existential threats” in their foreseeable future are not known for their “rational politics”.

To foreign intelligence agencies, all this sounds like the kind of language that you start hearing right before a coup attempt. Or a civil war.
Thanks to Trump and White America, aka The Trumpublicans, we are seen abroad as unreliable, unstable, and on the verge of a constitutional crisis at a minimum.
No one wants to stick their dick into that meat grinder to see what happens. Everyone wants to stay well away from US internal politics and not pick a side until it becomes clear which side has the most legitimacy.
No one wants to deal seriously with us right now. Do you blame then?
Biden has managed to hold together the Western Alliance against Russia but how much longer can that go on?
Here’s what could happen in 24' in the wake of a “highly contested” election where Republican State Governors in a number of key states shut down ballot counting after the “in person” ballots were counted. Declaring that they were the only “secure ballots”.
China could declare trading sanctions on the US. In a vote of “no confidence” in the legitimacy of the American elections. They could refuse to recognize a Trumpublican President as legitimate.
A lot of the world might back their play.
Just because Trumpublicans don’t care about Climate Change, or don’t believe in it. Doesn’t mean everyone else in the world is as willfully blind and as stupid as them.
A lot of the world is terrified by what’s happening with the Climate.
They have been waiting for the US to step up and lead on this issue. Instead we have waffled back and forth. Wasting everyone’s time.
It’s not even clear who is going to be in power after the elections in 24'.
We have become an unreliable partner.
A lot of the world might back China’s play. If a Trumpublican like De Santis wins it means the US is going to ignore the Climate Crisis for another four years.
The rest of the world doesn't have another four years to waste.
If that happens, China becomes the new “Superpower” without a battle being fought. Because the US cannot survive if the world “Sanctions America”.

The World is Warming up FAST. The Rate of Warming is now 0.36C PER DECADE.
If we don’t start getting our act together “RIGHT NOW” this is what's coming.
BY 2100.
Because we can only do one of two things in response to the Climate Crisis.
Make a concerted effort globally to get to net zero and reduce the CO2 level in the atmosphere.
Or.
Have a global “spasm war” as every nation state starts making a play for resources (think Ukraine).
We don’t have the resources to do both.
What future do you want your grandchildren to live in?
We all need to be clear about what’s happening so that we can make informed decisions when we vote on leadership. We need to “get real” now, because “shit’s about to go down”.
Because global civilization might survive a population die back of 50%.
If, it happens at a manageable rate of 1% a year over 50 years.
It won’t survive a 50% population crash if it happens in just 5 years.
You want a future of “managed retreat” run by Big Government for your children’s future to be stable.
The alternative is “uncontrolled collapse”.
