The actions taken in the first weeks of the Trump Presidency have made the future absolutely clear.
The Elite think the ENDGAME is NOW.
Alan Moore is a prophet.
If you aren't familiar with his work you are missing out on some of the best “graphic novels” of the 20th century. If you only know this work from the mediocre 2005 movie adaptation.
Then you don’t really know it at all. He foresaw the current moment and describes it perfectly in his novel.
In the novel, an environmental crisis set off by a nuclear war has shattered the world order and plunged Britain into chaos. There is famine, there is massive privation, and most importantly there is a breakdown in law and order. People are hungry, confused, and afraid.
So, when an organization emerges that has a “narrative” explaining the collapse of the old world hAND promises to RESTORE ORDER again. Well, people flock to it.
Their explanation, is that England’s collapse is due to “moral corruption”. Because “unclean elements” had been allowed to flourish in society as a result of “soft headed” and “traitorous” Liberals. It’s basically a simple, straightforward message that “G-D” has punished us for straying from the path of righteousness and listening to degenerates with their “liberal ideas” that led people to turn away from “God’s Laws”.
However, in this blandly moralistic statement lies “death camps” and genocide. Just like in the language the MAGAts are using today. Language that sounds blandly reasonable and vaguely principled as it describes horrors to come.
SEE, when you read “doublespeak” language like this, you have to know how to decode it. In Moore’s novel it helps to understand that the “unclean elements” are ALL the “non-white” people who had immigrated to England.

This “openly RACIST” white man has been appointed as Acting Undersecretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs. A SENIOR role that represents American foreign policy to the world.
It helps to know that the “moral corruption” they are talking about is actually “race mixing” and the social tolerance of homosexuals and trans individuals.

Rubio still has enough of a soul to feel shame about appointing Mr. Beattie to a State Department position of power. He felt enough shame to make it clear that Mr. Beattie was a “Trump Appointee” stating that,

Since Franco, Mussolini, Hitler and Stalin it’s practically become the “playbook” for how to take over a society. If you want to go further back, it’s the same process Athens and Rome underwent as they changed from “democratic” societies to “Imperial” societies.
Fascism comes in many flavors but it’s always the same story.
A small group of “Elites”, who justify their right to rule with various ideologies and political “isms”, control every aspect of society. They treat everyone not in a small “specialist class” as livestock, serfs, and sub-human. Orwell describes life under fascism in his classic “1984”. The “Conservative Elites” are making an ENDGAME play. They are acting as if THERE WILL BE NO FUTURE CONSEQUENCES for their actions. That’s a “Clear and Present Danger” signal.

Debra Winger plays an FBI agent who infiltrates a Right Wing Militia group in Iowa. One where parents “home school” their kids and teach them to “harbor hate against Jews and colored people”. One where they want to start a “race war” by dressing up as cops and cruising through black neighborhoods shooting people at random.

This isn’t a “NEW thing”, this sudden manifestation of WHITE racism and racial grievance. America has been RACIST for a LONG time. What's new, is that this time they think they can “win”.
This time the 1% are throwing their support in fully with the “White Supremacist Christofascists”. Just like in Spain, Italy, and Germany the “Titian’s of Industry” are throwing their lot in with the fascists. They are putting ALL their chips on the line for one roll of the dice.
What's happening now in America is a “win or die” turn of the cards for the MAGAts and the Billionaire 1% Class that owns about 90% of EVERYTHING.
Almost everything they are doing now is blatantly unlawful, illegal, and even criminal. If they don’t win, many of them will probably end their days in federal prisons. This is an INCREDIBLY RISKY move for both the MAGAts and the 1%’ers.
They are acting like they will NEVER be held to account for what they are doing. They are acting like there will NEVER BE ELECTIONS that they might lose, EVER again.
Which, considering that there should be a “mid-term” election in just two years, means that they expect to FULLY consolidate their power in just two years.
That’s an AGGRESSIVE timetable. So aggressive, that it risks “pushback” by the military and agencies of state. So aggressive, that it will impoverish many of their supporters and cause MASSIVE domestic unrest and resistance by multiple states.
SO. You have to ask yourself two questions.
“Why are they risking EVERYTHING now?”
And.
“Why act in such an aggressive timeframe?”
It doesn't make a lot of sense.

These are the places where the first wave of famines are projected to hit in a +2°C world. Do you think this could be why the 1% think that “the poor, the “not-white races” are going to be the ones most affected by mass starvation in the near future?
This is something that has happened before. Between 1870 to 1900 about 10% of the world's population starved to death due to “climate change” and the exploitation of that situation by the WHITE 20% to cement their colonial power.

If you have never heard of the “Late Victorian Holocausts’” that’s because they don’t get a lot of mention in Western schoolbooks. The book’s main conclusion is that the deaths of an estimated 100 million people (about 10% of the world’s population) killed in famines all over the world during the latter part of the 19th century. Were caused by the laissez-faire and Malthusian economic ideologies of colonial governments.
We may not remember these episodes in the West. About 10% of the world’s population died as a result of what we did. We don’t want to teach our kids about it. It’s the kind of thing that might make White kids feel guilty.
They have not forgotten about this in the rest of the world.
The global population could easily shrink by 2 Billion over the next 10 years. But this isn’t the late 19th century. These victims of climate change, mostly caused by Europe and the US aren’t going to quietly “die in place”. No matter how hard we try to make mass migration and movement impossible for the poor and starving.
The rest of the world is about to come knocking at our door.

'It Can't Happen Here' was a book written in the 1930s by Sinclair Lewis. I listened to the audio drama and it is frighteningly close to current USA. 'Death of Grass' a book written in the 1950s by John Christopher I think could also be prophetic. I listened to the audio which is also good.
You know that I respect you, Richard, but what's your point? Actually, the recent James Hansen et.al. paper on climate change includes the C3S data: global ave. surface temps have increased 0.4 degC in just the past 2 yrs., so 0.2 degC annually, which takes us to the very troubling 3 degC increase over the 1991-2020 baseline by 2032 and the existential 6 degC by 2047, the year that any child unfortunate enough to be born today turns 22, or not. Davos us disgusting. To save the potential children otherwise being born daily, 108,000 net, we can join the prescient American 18-50 yo's who have sworn off reproducing, according to a recent PEW Survey. As for the Mad King Tramp and his Muskrat, with his MAGATS, they may just be a lost cause, like the lemmings pouring by the millions into the oceans when their numbers become unsustainable. How very selfish of humans for not considering the future we've created for our offspring, or not. Have a blessed evening.
