It’s been more than 16 months since 30 tons of ammonium nitrate, a chemical used in explosives in Wyoming coal mines, left Cheyenne’s Dyno Nobel factory on the western edge of the city April 12, 2023, and disappeared a few days later in the desert of central California.
On Wednesday, the Federal Railroad Administration (FRA) told Cowboy State Daily that an investigation into the circumstances of the missing chemical remains “open and ongoing.”
A Dyno Nobel spokeswoman later described the rail spur area as a “transload facility,” where ammonium nitrate is transferred to a truck for delivery. Several quarry and other mining operations are located in the Mojave.
Ammonium nitrate is primarily used as a fertilizer, but it also was a key chemical used in the bomb that terrorist Timothy McVeigh built to blow up a federal building in Oklahoma City in 1995.
Saltdale has become a topic of interest with the Dyno Nobel investigation because a railcar carrying 30 tons of ammonium nitrate left Cheyenne’s Dyno Nobel factory and arrived in California with the chemical missing from the rail car.
The loss of the fertilizer is concerning to federal law enforcement authorities.

Westover man arrested after explosive materials were removed from his home by ATF and Arlington fire investigators on Friday.
Who are experimenting and “getting ready” for the war their “leaders” are telling them is coming.
At mines such as those in Wyoming’s energy-rich Powder River Basin and other industrial sites located near Saltdale, the ammonium nitrate is mixed with other chemicals, such as diesel fuel, and then blasting caps are used to make it explode.
In the statement to Cowboy State Daily, the FRA wrote that the incident investigation was classified as a “non-accident release” and determined that a faulty bottom outlet on a covered hopper car caused the “unintentional release” of ammonium nitrate fertilizer pellets, also known as prills.
Basically, they HOPE that the 30 TONS of explosive material dribbled out of an open pipe over the 1,500 mile trip. Instead of being stolen by a militia group that wants to make vehicle bombs.
Timothy McVeigh used 4800 lbs of ammonium nitrate in the 1995 bombing. So, 30 tons is enough for approximately 12.5 Oklahoma city bombings.
It’s probably nothing but, I did “threat assessment” for a few years and I have a nasty suspicious mind.
What could you do with 13 “Oklahoma City Class” truck bombs in the US. How could you literally get “the most bang for your buck”?
My “worst case” scenario.
A series of “Election Day” bombs set off across multiple URBAN voting sites and disrupting voting in Democratic strongholds.
Imagine 13 bombs going off on Election Day in the cities of critically important battleground states like Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Arizona, Ohio, Michigan, and Texas.
Causing Governors in multiple MAGA states to declare “states of emergency” and suspend voting.
How do you untangle that mess?
How do you “redo” Voting Day?
WHO DECIDES?
Trumpublicans will argue that you “let the chips fall where they may” and go with the votes that were cast before voting was suspended in these major cities. In Georgia that means almost no votes from Atlanta would be counted.
In Texas it means no votes from Houston, Dallas, El Paso, or San Antonio. All of them would be hit by these “Anti-American Terrorists” on Election Day. So, of course Governor Abbott had to shut down voting and put troops on the street that day. Of course everyone had to be asked to stay in their homes.
Who could predict where the bombers might strike next?
So, how should the vote for those states be resolved?
Particularly when the existing vote counts favor Republicans.
Especially if voting was ONLY suspended in the affected cities in these states and not in rural areas.
What EXACTLY does the law in your state say about situations where voting is disrupted?
In most cases the result is decided by the votes cast. Trying to have a fair “redo” is regarded as extremely difficult, if not impossible, and there is a presumption of “good will” in the system.
I.e., even if you lose, it’s only for a short time and you will get another shot in a few years. A “messed up” election isn’t the “end of the world” and it’s important that we come together and “move on” without rancor in unfortunate situations like this.
Just like in 2000.
How to resolve the mess would CERTAINLY go before the Supreme Court.
JUST LIKE IN 2000.
If the Court rules for Trump, would you see that as a “Judicial Coup”?
More importantly, would the US Military view the Court’s ruling as “Constitutional”?
The US Military is sworn to uphold the Constitution. Not necessarily the “Constitution as interpreted by a Court packed with Zealot Fanatics who want to implement Project 2025 and make America an Apartheid Nation run by White Trumpublican Men”.
If the Military issued a statement that it “disagreed” with the Court’s decision in Trumps favor and would not recognize him as a legitimate “Commander in Chief”. Well then, we would have a “Constitutional Crisis”.
FEAR of that happening is probably the only thing restraining this Court. They are actively aiding the Trumpublicans in their Election interference and restriction campaigns. Giving them legal hints at which issues they “might” be able to interpret in their favor.
This Court is EXTREMELY ARROGANT about its “legitimacy” and “authority”. They are confident that with just a “fig leaf” of legitimacy the military will “fall in line” and accept their ruling giving the election to Trump.
They are confident that a “legal coup” can be effected without tearing the country apart.
Which would result in Trump 2.0 in 2025 if the Military and Security Agencies accepted the judicial coup. DHS and it’s “secret police” agencies CBP and ICE are still firmly under MAGA control and could be used as an internal “Dirty War” force loyal only to the President.

The news this week has been at a surreal level of dystopian scariness. American citizens have been snatched off the street by men in paramilitary uniforms, forced into unmarked vans, and hauled away.
When did ICE and CBP build an army that’s under the personal control of the President?
Who authorized this?
Where did the money to pay their salaries, train, and equip them come from?
How many of them are there?
How long has this been going on and why did anyone think these units were necessary?
The implications of these units are deeply disturbing, and their existence should be a major topic of discussion in the upcoming election. The Republicans need to be called to account for this and DHS needs to be purged of everyone involved in this proto-Gestapo.
Because what it looks like to me, is that they are doing unit shakedowns in anticipation of needing to do post-election riot suppression.
While this has been happening Covid-19 death tolls have started climbing again.
Today was another day that they have been over 1,000.

2024 — Today
DHS as an agency has resisted oversight by the Democrats since 2020. NONE of my questions regarding what we saw in Portland and in Washington DC that summer were ever publicly answered.
I don’t like to think that 13 bombs could decide the “fate of the Nation”.
BUT.
We live in DANGEROUS TIMES.
And that’s where my mind goes these days.
That’s my “short take” on this.

I’m not a American and don’t live in the USA, but late last year (2023) I read an article on Medium by Erik Lee on Jack Alpert’s video titled “Civilization’s Running Out of Gas [petroleum] Story” it predicts what could happen to the world’s population when the Oil Industry can no longer meet humanity’s needs. There’s a longer video by Jack Alpert on his thesis which includes a Q&A session carried out on Zoom, in answer to one of the questions raised on the behaviour of humans in a crisis, especially one that affects food availability, Jack’s answer is questioned, to which Jack replies read Kurt Dahl’s book “An American Famine” (its sub title “A Rosetta Stone for the coming collapse”) I got myself a copy. The book is in fact dedicated to Jack Alpert. I don’t want to give too much away for those who may not have read it, but I was surprised with the latter part of “The Crisis Report-87” article as to some degree its reflected in this book, which leads to a bad situation being made much much worse. Whilst the book’s a fictional story it’s based on real world past events. A can’t-put-put-it-down read but a harrowing thriller of a story, one which only the brutish might wish to ever happen, unfortunately that looks like the direction humanity is heading🤔
